To answer your question - you can send points to community to increase the reward pool for the contest, or using points for Boost+. That way, Ecency will delegate the community HP for certain period of time.
I was trying to use the boost+ feature, but couldn't find where; probably some dumbness! If it can be done, will put my points to good use then.
When you use Ecency as a front end, on top right corner you will find Buy perks. Click on it and from there you will see where boost+ is.
