They are bold coming up so close! I think your reason being the hard crusty snow is right. In the area I live there are a large number of wild turkeys and I love seeing them on my way into town. Never had any up close to the house though!

        I think these guys must have been hungry. They came back two days in a row, but now the snow is melting and there are bare patches of ground.
