Good times are not always the longest; there are moments we call quality moments.
Last week, specifically on Friday, it was my mother's birthday, so I invited her to lunch. The plan was simple: just give her her gift and take her to a Llanero restaurant to eat and toast to another year full of vitality.
However, one of my sisters joined the plan and came with her husband and my nephews and her in-laws, who are very dear to my mother, so much so that instead of 5 people, there were 11 of us in total, plus my son had celebrated his birthday the day before.
We went to a steakhouse called Rancho Criollo Padova, which is an old restaurant but with good service. My sister brought my mom a cake, we gave her her gifts, and she was very excited.
For dinner, we ordered an Argentine grill, one grilled chicken with fried yuca and salad, and two cachapas with cheese.
The grill was brought in a small box with hot coals, which was finished cooking at the table to the customer's liking, which I thought was great. We only had one issue with a rib that was already burnt, and we asked to exchange it. Without any problems, they brought us another one that was less cooked so that it could be finished cooking there.
We toasted with our typical national beer, Polar, and stories came and went throughout our time there.
How pleasant that place was, and to be with my mom celebrating her birthday. I am so happy for her.
I hope that next year will be much better for her and that we can continue to enjoy her for many years to come.
