Last Friday, after picking up Aya in her school and Zoe in the train station. The kids are craving something delicious to eat. They really know the perfect time to ask for something because it was our payday (or salary day). So, we got our paycheck and it was a special treat for them. And how could we possibly say no to our hungry kids. And of course, a well deserved something delicious for all of us.

It was one of those simple yet memorable family Friday nights that warms our hearts. After a long and busy week was finally over. So, we went to the “Eat All You Can” restaurant named Šťastná Čínska Reštaurácia. We loved their delicious dishes for only 7 euros. And for us it was one of the best deals.

It was a self-service buffet restaurant. And we didn’t waste our time then we all lined up, waited for our turn to choose our dishes. And our hungry tummies were ready to eat more. Even if it was "Eat All You Can" we made sure to take what we could comfortably finish.

We made sure to finish everything we took. And making sure no food was wasted. We enjoyed the delicious food in the buffet. From kung pao chicken, spring rolls, crispy duck, sushi to noodles, rice dishes, and flavorful soups. We take our time and every moment we felt happiness. It was the best moment when we savor each bite, with a perfect combination of good food and happy conversations turned the simple dinner into a memorable mini-celebration.

After our satisfying meal, we drove towards Komárno town to continue the evening with a little adventure. It was the annual Ondrejský jarmok in Komárno, a festive detour promising lights, music ,trade fairs, food stalls, drinks, handmade crafts and a theme park attraction. Ondrejský jarmok is a traditional fair that is held every St. Andrew’s Day, the local event that brings people together and our perfect way to spend the rest of the night. We enjoyed the night, family and friends having fun even on a cold night.
When we arrived, the night was chilly and enough for us to zip our jackets and wear our caps. People enjoy their hot drinks and some with their pivo or beer. And of course, kids were rushing from one side to another and Aya was one of them. Aya just recovered from 4 days of fever and cough. She really wants to ride and was begging us for even one ride only.
Even though the wind was so cold and she was determined to get on a ride. And nothing would stop her from going on at least one ride. After a brief negotiation, we agreed on only one ride. And her choice was the spinning and whirling Break Dance.

Aya went on the ride alone and the three of us just patiently waited at the exit. We were happy to simply wait and witness her joy. Aya screamed out loud and I really knew it was her voice. Waving her hands, happy kiddo was enjoying the thrilling and fun moment.
Those few minutes and watching her on the spinning ride was a perfect evening for her.
There’s something about simple days like this and often become the most treasured one. That precious childhood she will cherish forever even in every small adventure.
Komárno Fortress.
After the ride, we headed home. It was an evening well spent that combined good food, a thrilling ride, and a festive walk through the Christmas-themed fortress grounds.
A simple Friday turned into a beautiful memory. Sometimes, happiness really is found in good company which is my family, good food, laughter and the little adventures we share together.
