Reencuentro.
Un día estaba sentada viendo instagram como día normal, y en eso veo una story de una amiga mía del liceo (Contexto: se había ido después como dos años de graduarse a Perú) en la historia aparecía ella en un lugar emblemático de mi ciudad "La catedral" y tenía un copy de "despues de 7 años vuelvo a mi ciudad" yo quede perpleja y de inmediato le escribí.
Coordinamos para vernos un día y ese día llego. Fue realmente emocionante verla, no mentire, ella no era la amiga mas cercana a mi pero sin duda fue alguien especial en mi adolescencia, en el liceo a veces la única persona que me hablaba era ella, es alguien que nunca me ha juzgado y que yo nunca la he juzgado y ella es muy auténtica y verla de nuevo y saber que no ha cambiado en ese aspecto me hizo volver a los años de liceo, fue muy divertido.
Le di casi que un recorrido por los lugares increíble de Maturín, primero fuimos a Rococo y ahí nos comimos un cachito con queso crema y champiñones, muy buenos la verdad. Después paseamos un rato por el centro y nos fuimos a un restaurante que amo que se llama Wook ahí vende un Sushi divino y arroz chino exquisito.
Para terminar el día con broche de oro fuimos por unos helados de Mykonos (Amo los helados de Mykonos y a ella le encanto) debo decir que me dio gusto verla y se que no la volveré a ver por un buen rato porque ella solo vino a actualizar unos documentos y sacar su pasaporte.
Nos reímos, recordamos cosas de la adolescencia, fue algo conmovedor y lindo .
Reunion.
One day, I was sitting looking at Instagram like any other day, and I saw a story from a friend of mine from high school (context: she had gone to Peru about two years after graduating). In the story, she appeared in an iconic place in my city, "The Cathedral," and it had a caption that said, "After seven years, I'm back in my city." I was stunned and wrote to her immediately.
We agreed to meet up one day, and that day arrived. It was really exciting to see her. I'm not going to lie, she wasn't my closest friend, but she was definitely someone special in my teenage years. In high school, sometimes she was the only person who talked to me. She is someone who has never judged me and whom I have never judged, and she is very authentic. Seeing her again and knowing that she hasn't changed in that respect took me back to my high school years. It was a lot of fun.
I gave her a tour of the incredible places in Maturín. First, we went to Rococo, where we had a cachito with cream cheese and mushrooms, which was really good. Then we walked around downtown for a while and went to a restaurant I love called Wook, which serves divine sushi and exquisite Chinese rice.
To end the day on a high note, we went for ice cream at Mykonos (I love Mykonos ice cream, and she loved it too). I must say that I was happy to see her, and I know I won't see her again for a while because she only came to update some documents and get her passport.
We laughed, reminisced about our teenage years, and it was a touching and beautiful experience.
