Greetings fellow hive bloggers.
How's the festive season going?
I want to shear with you how my day went, I woke up by 4am in the morning prayed and took my bath, then get ready to visit an old friend of mine in
the neighborhood, I really don't like eating too much but it's a festive season so what I was offered, I must eat. So I went there the family gave me a worm welcome with Nigerian jolof rice which I have been craving for the past few months since I went for national youth service in the north east Nigeria.
Note: it's not that the north eastern Nigeria doesn't have rice but the difference is clear, the rice although is locally grown, but 99% stone free.
I enjoyed the tast without breaking my teeth.
The activity of the day included our visit to the farm where we harvested coco yam, fruited pumpkin, Mellon and also weed the farm as well.
I got so stressed out that I had to take a little while to rest and reschedule my visit for other places I have to go to during the festivities because I will be traveling back to the north eastern Nigeria where I'm serving and for the record the fruited pumpkin I just mentioned is not obtainable in that part of the country, even if you see one to buy, it's used to be expensive.
Thanks
