¡Cumpleaños en Familia!
El pasado fin de semana celebramos el cumpleaños del tío Jesús y del abuelo Leo.
Mi tío Jesús es el hijo mayor de mi bisabuela María. Estudió ingeniería civil mención hidráulica en la Universidad Central de Venezuela. Jugó volleyball a nivel profesional en la liga universitaria mucho tiempo, tanto así que incluso salía con el equipo de la UCV a competir de forma internacional.
Mi tío se casó con mi tía Belsay hace más de 40 años y tuvieron a mi prima Vanessa que es la mayor y hoy madre de 2 baby influencers panameños de la familia jajaj. También tuvieron a mis 2 primos Jesús (el del medio) y Daniel el menor que ya también es padre de un baby pero este no es panameño sino argentino.
Family Birthday!
Last weekend we celebrated Uncle Jesús and Grandpa Leo's birthday.
My uncle Jesús is the eldest son of my great-grandmother María. He studied civil engineering with mention in hydraulics at the Central University of Venezuela. He played volleyball at a professional level in the university league for a long time, so much so that he even went out with the UCV team to compete internationally.
My uncle married my aunt Belsay more than 40 years ago and they had my cousin Vanessa who is the oldest and today mother of 2 Panamanian baby influencers in the family hahahah. They also had my 2 cousins Jesús (the middle one) and Daniel the youngest who is also the father of a baby but this one is not Panamanian but Argentinian.

Por otro lado, mi abuelo Leo es el hermano menor de mi bisabuela. El abuelo Leo trabajó ara el "Servicio Panaméricano". Tuvo a una de mis tías que se mudó a Londres. Siempre muy querido por todos en la familia. Actualmente se dedica a llevar el mensaje de paz y de fe en las cárceles en Caracas. Una misión que según él será para el resto de su vida.
On the other hand, my grandfather Leo is the younger brother of my great-grandmother. Grandpa Leo worked for the ‘Panamerican Service’. He had one of my aunts who moved to London. Always loved by everyone in the family. At the moment he is dedicated to bring the message of peace and faith in the prisons in Caracas. A mission that he says will be for the rest of his life.

Viendo que estos 2 familiares cumplían años muy cerca el uno del otro, pues decidimos celebrar en familia comiendo riendo y recordando buenos momentos y creando otros nuevos.
El menú que se propuso fue hacer "patacones" para también celebrar aunque sea desde la distancia con otros de nuestros familiares que se encuentran en Maracaibo (Zulia-Venezuela)
El patacon consiste en una tostada de plátano verde que se hace de forma frita. Nosotros decidimos acompañar los patacones con:
Ensalada de colslaw que le dijerona mi chica que hiciera porque le queda bien, también se hizo carne y pollo en tiras.
Imposible no acompañar unos patacones con una salsa de ajo, así que la hice. Extra Había queso guayanes y un lomo de cerdo que trajo la novia de mi tio Daniel la actual "Tía Dora" jaja
Time to celebrate!
Seeing that these 2 relatives had birthdays very close to each other, we decided to celebrate as a family, eating, laughing and remembering good times and creating new ones.
The menu that was proposed was to make ‘patacones’ to also celebrate even if from a distance with other of our relatives who are in Maracaibo (Zulia-Venezuela).
The patacon is a green plantain toast that is fried. We decided to accompany the patacones with:
Colslaw salad that my girl was told to make because it suits her, and also beef and chicken strips.
It was impossible not to accompany the patacones with a garlic sauce, so I made it. There was extra guayanes cheese and a pork loin brought by my uncle Daniel's girlfriend, the current ‘Tia Dora’ haha.

Para cerrar la comida que modestia aparte nos quedo excelente, mi tío Daniel quien sale en primer plano con su franela color rosa, mandó a hacer una torta con su novia quien está también de primer plano con franela verde.
Además de eso, mi tía Belsay hizo una gelatina de mango que estaba excelente aunque a mi primo miguel no le gustó tanto ni a mi chica porque no son muy amantes del mango.

Besides that, my aunt Belsay made a mango jelly which was excellent, although my cousin Miguel didn't like it and neither did my girl because she is not a mango lover.
Y así, en familia celebramos un año más de vida de mi tío y mi abuelo. Muchos años pasamos sin el cumpleaños del tío Yisus jeje ya que estaba entre Panamá y Argentina constantemente viendo a sus hijos.
¿Será que ahora les toca Brasil también? El unico de sus hijos que no tiene hijos está en San Pablo, Brasil, jugando al ultimate y viviendo su vida entre la cocina y la playa como le gusta a él.
