Saludos, queridos Hivers
A pesar del día nublado (llovería para la tarde) y de seguir teniendo problemas con el suministro de agua, decidimos salir al supermercado y preparar un almuerzo especial para nuestros primos. Ellos han sido una bendición desde que llegamos a Caracas hace más de 4 meses.

Greetings, dear Hivers.
Despite the cloudy day (it would rain by the afternoon) and continuing problems with the water supply, we decided to go out to the supermarket and prepare a special lunch for our cousins. They have been a blessing since we arrived in Caracas more than 4 months ago.
Nos queda muy poca agua, pero se espera que a las 9 pm tengamos una hora para almacenar lo que podamos, bañarnos y lavar la ropa.

We are almost running out of water, but they say we will have about an hour of the service later tonight to store as much as we can, do chores, take showers and do the laundry.

Me sentí saturada en el supermercado. Tanta gente, todos parecían apurados y yo tanto tiempo sin salir y estar en sitios concurridos, acostumbrada a distraerme y tomarme todo con calma. En algún momento, no me pregunten cómo, me confundí de carrito y estaba llevándome el de algún desconocido! 🤭

I felt overwhelmed at the supermarket. So many people, everyone in a hurry and I am so rusty when it comes to going out and interacting in crowded places; I am so used to getting distracted, taking everything easy and slowly. At some point, don't ask me how, I took the wrong cart and had been pushing somebody else's for a while 🤭
Mi mamá estaba muy ocupada tratando de comprar las cosas en oferta como para alertarme que me estaba llevando el carrito equivocado y mi papá estaba muy ocupado tomando fotos.

My Mom was too busy trying to get the best deals as to alert me and my Dad was too busy taking pictures
Saliendo del supermercado empezó a llover. Llegamos a casa pasado el medio día y empezamos a cocinar. Todos ayudamos.

When we got out of the supermarket it was raining. We got to the apartment after noon and started to cook. We all helped.

Teníamos tanta hambre que no tomamos fotos de los platos servidos. Solo nos concentramos en comer y conversar!

We we're so hungry that we forgot to take pictures of the served dishes. We just focused on eating and talking.
Fue una tarde especial. Esperamos poder disfrutar de muchas otras más con todos nuestros seres queridos. Mañana de vuelta a la quimio. ¡Deseénme suerte!
