¡Hola a todos! ¡Saludos! Seguimos con el contenido de Labitconf en Buenos Aires, Argentina, el pasado noviembre de 2023. Cómo saben, cuando vamos a convenciones de este tipo, además del evento principal hay muchos side events en donde hacemos mucho networking. Uno de los tantos que había era un evento patrocinado por la cadena Algorand. Se trató de un evento muy particular porque era un Brunch solo de mujeres.
El encuentro se hizo en casa Cavia, una casa transformada en un restaurante. Y el patio de este sitio fue el elegido para hacer el evento. Me sorprendió mucho el lugar y lo girly que era. Todos los detalles del sitio eran muy femenino. Nos recibieron con la mesa puesta y un regalito muy delicado: un llavero de Algorand.
El brunch estuvo a rebosar de comida, teníamos sandwich, hamburguesas, dulces, mucho café, té y un jugo de naranja con cúrcuma que me hizo sacar todos los males (estaba muy enferma ese día).
Lo más resaltante del evento era ver todas las mujeres que estaban en el mundo Tech y Cripto. Pero lo más impresionante es que de 60 mujeres que estábamos en el sitio aproximadamente, solo había 1 desarrolladora. Es menester abocarnos a la búsqueda de estás mujeres, que sabemos que existen, o abrir las puertas a qué más mujeres se dediquen a este importante gremio.
Abundaban las mujeres de marketing y diseño, también varias CEO de empresas y emprendimientos. La charla estuvo bastante corta, porque la idea no era hacer una conferencia, sino compartir, conocernos y conectar entre todas. Este side event en específico me dejó muy feliz, y fue uno de mis momentos favoritos de Labitconf. Y me dejó con las ganas de crear más eventos así (algo que ya empezamos a hacer desde ConectaTech).
Hello everyone, greetings! We continue with the content of Labitconf. As you know, when we go to conventions of this type, in addition to the main event there are many side events where we do a lot of networking. One of the many was an event sponsored by the Algorand chain. It was a very particular event because it was a women-only Brunch.
The meeting was held at Casa Cavia, a house transformed into a restaurant. And the patio of this place was the one chosen for the event. I was very surprised by the place and how girly it was. All the details of the place were very feminine. We were welcomed with the table set and a very delicate gift: a keychain from Algorand.
The brunch was overflowing with food, we had sandwiches, burgers, sweets, lots of coffee, tea and an orange juice with turmeric that made me take out all my aches and pains (I was very sick that day).
The highlight of the event was seeing all the women who were in the Tech and Crypto world. But the most impressive thing is that out of the 60 or so women on site, there was only 1 female developer. It is necessary to focus on the search for these women, we know they exist, or open the doors for more women to dedicate themselves to this important guild.
There were many women in marketing and design, as well as several CEOs of companies and startups. The talk was quite short, because the idea was not to have a conference, but to share, get to know each other and connect with each other. This specific side event left me very happy, and it was one of my favorite moments of Labitconf, and it left me with the desire to create more events like this (something we have already started to do from ConectaTech).
