💞Valentine's Day Dinner🍝

As most of us know, it was Valentine's Day over the weekend and I wanted some quality time with my lovely ladies.

I had arranged for the girls to have sleepovers at their friends' houses, giving us and the holiday its proper attention.

I may have dropped the ball on reservations, but I was still unsure what kind of plates were best suited to fill our stomachs. We opted for a newer hot spot another city over called 'Sapori di Napoli'. It is an Italian joint located right on the main square of downtown Monterey and they did not disappoint.

Do not let the simple spray painted name on the brick, throw you off to its quality. After all, it is the simpe things that make life that much better. Are they not?

The place was packed when we got in there, and there was room at the corner of the bar. Which, would be typically where I would sit anyway. Were there private booths, I surely would have fought for one of those.

So we sat at the bar, and ordered us some drinks and a bottle of Riesling. They went down quick and we decided what to order. Being an Italian spot, it seemed fitting we all ordered some form of pasta. We got a bruschetta to start, and holt shit, was that ever good. The lady to my right had a ravioli platter, the lady on my left went with some spaghetti, and I opted for some seafood linguine, complete with shrimp, calamari and wine soaked mussels.

When I get back over to Yelp, I'll surely be giving it five stars. The staff was all cordial, including the bartender, whom you could tell was on his last legs from the busy day he had already endured.

Honestly though, my favorite part, was my ladies humoring me and my crazy. I procured for all of us, some very coordinated outfits. The theme was a red rose, of which, I gave them options of a couple dresses and accessories. I even got me a suit to match them and all of us matching jackets! Was such a great evening and night. Thank you loves! Oh and hey, REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am, because some roses' thorns are soft to my touch.

This looks like my kind of place. My wife and I both love Italian food. We didn't really go out for Valentines day though, we were busy babysitting, then we got McDonald's on our four hour drive home.

You drove 4 hours to babysit?

Yeah, it was for our great niece though, so it was worth it!

You two are frickin awesome. 🌹 !PIMP !PAKX !DUO

That looks great. It looks like a great time as well. Love me some Italian food.

We had steak and other goodies in. Neither of us was feeling all that good to go out. SO we enjoyed each others company in.
