My Eating Habit

in SciFi Multiverse2 days ago

My Eating habits have consistently changed over the years. The older I grow, the less I eat and so is my cravings. I grew up with my Grandma, and one thing she was fond of doing is ensuring we eat and it doesn't matter how many times we ate as long as the food was readily available. At a younger age I would have called myself a foodie, I eat everything as long as it doesn't make me throw up. My grandma would dish my siblings and I food differently, the bowl filled to the brim and the rule was - once your food was finished, there was no more left for an extra. What we often did was eat and leave some for late at night, still enough to last till the next day.

Soon I grew fond of eating late night because there was always a reserve for the night. It doesn't matter how many times I've eaten, I still don't skip the late night eating. Sometimes I eat at 11pm, 12am, or 1am. I wouldn't feel good if I slept the night without eating. This habit continued to my adulthood, but then, change happened, and I noticed I no longer enjoy the late night meal. I preferred to eat much and that was enough to hold me through the night.

I would rather call my kind of meal as quantity not quality. There are certain things that influence this, and one of them is the hard work put into farming. I can't eat a small quality meal and expect to farm heavily, I'd faint before sunrise. The heavier the meal I eat is; the harder I work and the better I stay sustained through the day. Every hard work requires quantity when it comes to meal rather than quality, which is might for people who do soft jobs.

My Eating Habit can be described in this simple form- As a guy who prefers quantity over quality food and can skip lunch with no issues but doesn't joke with his breakfast and dinner. I learned this 1-0-1 kind of feeding back in school and it has become an habit I've grown up to maintain. I am not selective when it comes to food, I eat anything as long as its edible. I love vegetables a lot, this I combine in every meal where vegetables goes with whenever I have the opportunity to, and finally, I don't take much water while eating, people believe this is the reason why I eat much.

Not taking enough water when eating might be a good reason for you eating much.

I like your grandma. Grannies are the best at making sure we are stuffed with food. A child whose stomach is full will not throw irrelevant tantrums. This I have discovered by many experiments 😁

Grannies are actually the best, they seem considerate with food.

And it seems you have experience in relationship between a child and food

Yes, a lot. I used to teach nursery pupils so I know.

Wow, advantage of being a teacher

Yes of course 😁

Mr quantity, I greet oo 😂. I didn't see any of my grannies so I didn't enjoy the stuffing of foods by them. But I'm experiencing where my mom is. Sometimes I discourage her from overfeeding her grandkids, but would she listen, no. They're now her kids, no longer us she birthed. 🤣

Hahaha. Grannies often believe children should keep eating. They don't like to see a child with a flat stomach

Do you take enough water later? It's important to stay hydrated. It's interesting that you don't consider vegetables high quality, because they're definitely healthy.

A sachet of water is most times enough for me, looks like my body has some reserve of water to keep me hydrated.

For vegetables, they're healthy, but when it comes to considering quantity and quality, I'd go for the quantity

I think my feeding habit can be described as 0-1-1 since I hardly eat breakfast and just start from lunch.

I learned breakfast is more important than lunch(by some dietitians)

The truth is a lot of things about change as we grow
Thank you for sharing

That's true, there's a constant change as we grow
