Greetings everyone!
Coming out truthfully as I respond to this writing prompt, my feeding habit is not structured into a timetable like the way many people and families have specific meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Oftentimes, I eat whatever is available at the moment, and sometimes, I go for something special when I am craving it at that particular time and have the money to get it. But even with this, I eat healthily because I consume solid, nutrient-filled meals in good proportions.
What do I mean by this?
Most foods, especially easily made and canned foods, do not usually contain all the necessary nutrients of a proper meal. I am not saying they have no nutrients at all—they do—but in the process of manufacturing and preserving, many of the nutrients are either washed away or fried off. I eat quality homemade food. I get food items from the market, harvest some from my garden, and cook them fresh. Yes, I derive so much joy from eating this kind of food rather than eating from restaurants and eateries. I am not saying restaurant foods are bad—no, they are good, but most of them lack the nutrients they should contain due to how long the ingredients are preserved and the excessive "frying" that "refines" the food into a delicious taste but does not measure up to what is prepared at home. I once worked in an eatery, so I know what's up 😏.
I am also into fruits and vegetables. I often buy fruits like watermelon, cucumber, and pineapple to eat. As for vegetables, I do not joke with them, which is why my little garden has plants like butterleaf, waterleaf, pumpkin, and scent leaves. I add these to almost every meal I prepare, and I feel good doing so. It is so advantageous to me because I am a bachelor and can cook and eat food exactly how I want and like it.
Before I drop my keyboard, I should also mention that I eat heavily. Luckily, I have the advantage of a slim body, so no matter how much or how often I eat, my body size remains the same. Lol.
Thanks for reading.
