That’s a smart idea, pulling the tomatoes before they fully ripen to help the plant, I never thought about that!👍😊
Plus fried green tomatoes are so delicious!🤗

I've never tried fried green tomatoes! So no idea what they taste like 😂 so do you just pan fry them? Or do you jazz them up?

They are absolutely delicious @stryeyz 😊
We dip them in flour, seasoned flour if you like. Then pan fry them with a little bit of olive oil, salt and pepper till they are crispy on both sides!😇
They have a little bit of a tart taste to them…..Yum!☺️
We originally relocated from Cincinnati, I think this is something local to the Midwest!

I grew up in ND and it wasn't a thing there, but not everybody considered that the Midwest 😂 or as I liked to joke as a kid, everything there is about 10 years behind.

We ate things like chicken feet, or Rocky Mountain Oysters, which are, in fact, not oysters 🤣🤣

It’s interesting the different unique foods you find from different parts of the country!😊
You have a hard time finding green tomatoes or even red ripe tomatoes in the Pacific Northwest… unless you go to the store Lol😇
So very strange…..😮

Oh we could pick em green, I'm sure.

That’s perfect, enjoy your fried green tomatoes!🤗
