“In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or step back into safety.”
Abraham Maslow
Change, they say, is constant and is the fundamental aspect of life. Life is a dynamic and evolving occurrence. Whether we are ready to embrace change or not, it always has a way of propelling us forward, bringing us out of our comfort zones, and diving us into the realm of growth and transformation. Regardless of how we take a look at it, change is just inevitable.
Whether we are prepared for it or not, as time goes by, we humans change not just physically but also mentally, emotionally, socially, and psychologically.
So back to the question.
How easy is it for you to let go of a belief and change it for something better?
I have always been a flexible person who wants to grow and has a renewed and transformed mindset, so letting go of a belief for my own growth has never been a challenge or problem for me. There were things I thought were right, and some I was doing until someone drew my attention to them or I read in a book and found out what I had always known was not right.
As a Nigerian growing up, we were told a lot of myths, and we believed them until I grew up and found out that some of the things we say or do are not actually true.
I personally think that embracing the inevitability of change will make it much easier and better for us to navigate life with greater resilience and flexibility. If we accept that change is a constant companion in this journey called life, then it will be easier for us to accept and appreciate the ever-evolving tapestry of life.
