Hello everyone

Last Saturday morning, my husband and I set off for a short getaway to Phang Nga Province. My husband had been working tirelessly for months without a proper break, so we took this weekend as a chance to rest and recharge. 😊

We left our home in Phuket around 10 a.m., heading toward a hotel just 50 kilometers away — about an hour’s drive. Since check-in wasn’t until 2 p.m., we had plenty of time, so we decided to stop for breakfast first at a place called "Krua Klang Dong", located near Wat Khao Waterfall. It was conveniently along the way to the hotel.

I followed the GPS through a narrow road that made me wonder if we were heading in the right direction. But luckily, signs for the restaurant appeared along the way, which reassured me. My husband, however, insisted that the place he had in mind was a different restaurant entirely. 😅

Still, I trusted the signs and kept driving, thinking it must be the same place he had set on the GPS. After all, how many restaurants could there be hidden in the woods? 🌳

As we got closer to the restaurant, I noticed a small parking area right next to a stream flowing gently from the nearby forest. At first, I thought it was just a regular creek — I had no idea there was a waterfall here! 💧

But my husband told me that there actually was a waterfall nearby. Still, I told him, “Let’s check it out after breakfast,” because at that moment, I was absolutely starving! We hadn’t eaten anything since morning, and all I could think about was food. 🍽️

After parking the car, we walked toward the restaurant, which was perched on a small hillside across from the parking lot. The surroundings were incredibly lush and green, with tall trees of all kinds providing a peaceful, shaded atmosphere. 🌿🌳

I really loved the atmosphere at Krua Klang Dong. It felt quite private and peaceful, as each table was set inside a small wooden pavilion, with enough space between them to create a sense of seclusion. 🍃🏡

While waiting for our food, of course, I took the opportunity to capture some photos of the beautiful surroundings at Krua Klang Dong. 📸🌿

It wasn’t long before the staff brought our food to the table. The dishes smelled absolutely amazing, and everything looked incredibly appetizing — I couldn't wait to dig in! 😍🍛

We eagerly started eating — we were both so hungry! And honestly, the food here was incredibly delicious. 🤤💚

After finishing our meal, we still had nearly two hours to spare. So, we decided to take a short walk up to the waterfall, which was just a little distance from the parking area. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️💧

It didn’t take long to reach the waterfall. Just a short walk from the parking area, we saw a small cascade flowing gently down the hillside, surrounded by large rocks. ⛰️💦

There were quite a few visitors enjoying a splash in the cool water, and the atmosphere was wonderfully refreshing and breezy — the perfect escape from the heat. 🌬️🌿

We didn’t spend too much time at the waterfall, as it was getting a bit crowded with visitors. After soaking in the scenery for a while, we continued our journey to the hotel we had booked for the weekend. 🧳🚗✨

Even though our visit to the waterfall was short, it added a refreshing touch to our morning. The peaceful meal at Krua Klang Dong and the gentle nature walk made the start of our weekend feel extra special. 💚🌿

Sometimes, it doesn’t take a long trip to feel recharged — just a quiet meal in nature and a little waterfall adventure can do wonders. ✨🍃

Thanks for joining me on this short escape! I hope it inspires you to explore more hidden gems like this on your next weekend off. 😊🌼
