Today, I found myself standing in front of "2MoM". Now, the word on the street is that this place is the Queen of Yum (Thai Salad). But you know me, I don’t just follow the crowd; I look for the hidden gems. And let me tell you, while their Yum is fantastic, their "Tum" (Som Tum) is the dark horse that won the race!
First off, let’s talk about the Tum Tua (Long Bean Salad). Oh. My. Goodness. It wasn’t just a salad; it was a symphony of crunch! The beans were so fresh they snapped with every bite, soaking up that ferocious fermented fish sauce (Pla Ra) like a sponge. It was bold, it was loud, and it woke me up instantly!
Then came the heavy hitter: Tum Moo Krob (Crispy Pork Som Tum). Imagine the golden, crackling skin of the pork belly wrestling with the spicy, sour, and savory papaya salad dressing. It’s a texture explosion! The pork stays crispy even when drenched in sauce—that is culinary wizardry, my friends.
But wait! We cannot disrespect the house specialty. The Yum Salmon arrived looking like a jewel. The salmon was fresh, fatty, and chilled to perfection, swimming in a pool of lime, chili, and magic. It melts in your mouth while the spice kicks you in the tongue—a beautiful pain I never want to end.
Finally, to calm the storm, the Kai Yang (Grilled Chicken). Smoky, tender, with skin that’s just slightly charred to give you that rustic aroma. It’s the best friend every spicy dish needs.

วันนี้ผมพาตัวเองมายืนอยู่หน้าร้าน "2MoM" (สองมัม) ครับท่านผู้ชม กิตติศัพท์ร้านนี้ใครๆ ก็ลือกันให้แซ่ดว่า "ยำ" เขายืนหนึ่ง แต่คนอย่างสากล ไม่เชื่ออะไรง่ายๆ จนกว่าจะได้พิสูจน์ และสิ่งที่ผมค้นพบคือ... ในขณะที่ยำเขาคือตัวแม่ แต่เมนู "ตำ" ของที่นี่คือ ตัวมารดา ที่แท้ทรูครับ!
เปิดต่อมรับรสกันด้วย "ตำถั่วฝักยาว" จานนี้บอกเลยว่าไม่ได้มาเล่นๆ เสียงเคี้ยวถั่วที่ดัง กรุบ! กรุบ! ผสานกับน้ำปลาร้าที่นัวจนต้องร้องขอชีวิต มันเข้าเนื้อ มันฉ่ำ มันสะใจ เหมือนถั่วทุกฝักถูกคัดมาเพื่อภารกิจนี้โดยเฉพาะ!
ยังไม่พอครับ ต้องไปต่อให้สุดกับ "ตำหมูกรอบ" โอโห... อันนี้คือทีเด็ด! หมูกรอบชิ้นใหญ่ที่หนังยังกรอบสู้ฟัน แม้จะลงไปคลุกฝุ่นอยู่ในน้ำส้มตำ รสสัมผัสที่ตัดกันระหว่างความกรอบของหมูและความจี๊ดจ๊าดของน้ำยำ มันคือสวรรค์รำไรชัดๆ
แต่เดี๋ยวจะหาว่ามาไม่ถึงร้าน ถ้าไม่พูดถึง "ยำปลาแซลมอน" เมนูขึ้นชื่อของเขา แซลมอนลายสวย เนื้อเด้ง สดเหมือนเพิ่งกระโดดขึ้นจากน้ำ ราดด้วยน้ำยำสูตรเด็ดที่เปรี้ยวเผ็ดลงตัว กินคำเดียวแสงออกปาก ความมันของปลาตัดกับความเผ็ดได้แบบ... ตายสงบศพสีชมพูครับ
และเพื่อไม่ให้ลิ้นเราพังทลายจากความเผ็ดร้อน เราต้องมีพระเอกขี่ม้าขาวอย่าง "ไก่ย่าง" หนังเกรียมหอมถ่าน เนื้อนุ่มชุ่มฉ่ำ ฉีกกินคู่กับข้าวเหนียวร้อนๆ คือนิพพานแห่งวงการอาหารอีสาน!
สรุปจากใจสากล: ร้าน 2MoM ไม่ได้มีดีแค่ยำครับ ใครมาร้านนี้ต้องจัดให้ครบองค์ประชุม รับรองว่าอร่อยจนต้องทุบโต๊ะ! ไปลองเถอะครับ เดี๋ยวจะคุยกับเขาไม่รู้เรื่อง!
