I welcome you all to my blog. I am super excited because am going to share with you one of my favorite soup recipe in the world. Ogbono seed is a seed that grows from it own tree, Ogbono soup is one of the popular soup here and it is very Delicious and super easy to prepare. Join me as share with you step to step on how o prepared the soup.

INGREDIENTS USED
400g Ogbono
100g of washed Bitter leaf
1kg of Meat
3 smoked Kpala
2 dry catfish
1 stockfish
50gCrayfish
2 cooking spoon of Red oil
100g of red Pepper
2 Knor cube seasoning
1 table spoon of Salt
150cl of Water

PROCEDURE
STEP1
First I thoroughly wash my beef meat and left over chicken, i wash my stock fish, washed my dry catfish and smoked kpala fish with hot water and salt to clean off the sand and dirty on them separately and kept them aside.


STEP2
In a clean pot i add in my beef meat and stockfish and add a little water to it, add in my washed sliced onions to it.


STEP3
Next i add in salt to taste, my knorr cube seasoning and blended red pepper and i cover the pot to allow it to cook for 15 minutes till it is tender.

STEP4
After 15minutes, i stir it real quick and go in with enough water that will be okay for the soup, add my red oil and the remaining pepper and allow it to cook for 10minutes.

STEP5
Next thing I add in the grinded crayfish and the washed smoked kpala and dry catfish, then allow it to cook for 5 minutes.

STEP6
Then after 5 minutes later, i pour in the grinded ogbono and allow it cook for 10 minutes so that the ogbono can melt and cook well.

STEP7
When i opened it the aroma filled everywhere, then i add my washed bitter leaf and let it simmer for 2 minutes and I stir to combine

Here, our delicious and tasty ogbono soup is ready, of course you can enjoy this with any swallow of your choice be it fufu, poundo, garri or millet. But i ate mine with millet as my swallow.


The health benefits of ogbono is that its rich in fiber which supports healthy digestion, it has healthy fats, like omega-6 and omega-3 whhich is good to the heart and it can help to regulate blood sugar and lower cholesterol levels and lots.
