Friendships are some of the free things in life and true friendship is priceless, the beautiful thing about friendships is that it is not limited to people of the same age, race or financial status.
I am blessed to have beautiful friends all around me, both online and offline and I must confess it takes a lot of effort to keep the friendship going, to forgive and to tolerate.
I am a fun-loving person and I ensure I keep the vibes wherever I am and maybe that's why my friends call me the life of the party haha.
So today, I was invited for a dinner date by my friend who is not from the same race as me, she's from East Asia and I am from West Africa but that doesn't have a thing on our friendship.
For quite a while now, she has been teaching me how to eat their native food and speak their language and I think I am doing well haha as I can now communicate with the simplified Chinese language and say common greetings like Good morning, how are you, thank you and I love you in Chinese. It's a fun moment for me.
The food we had for the dinner date was Chinese bread with different soups and stew, I had forgotten the name she called it in Chinese. The bread is made of flour and I love how creative it looks and it looks yummy too.
She told me how she baked the bread herself and added the semase to the bread and I loved the outcome of the bread, it looked so attractive and as soon as I tasted it, I craved more.
While eating, we talked about so many random things that brought genuine laughter to our faces and it was such a priceless moment for both of us.
I was opportune to meet her family for this dinner date and they were all from East Asia, they told me so many things about China and their culture and how marrying wives from their country is quite expensive haha.
They are all beautiful people and fun to be with as well. It's rare for people from different races to get along so easily but I saw it happening today and I am very excited.
I promise to invite her over to my house for a West African dish too and she's already anticipating it.
Until then, I ensured I enjoyed myself today and topped the food up with this amazing mint candy.
