Hello dear community, greetings to you all! It's been a while since I shared another Venezuelan recipe. This time, I want to show you a recipe my grandmother shared with me: the famous turrón with panela (unrefined cane sugar) and a touch of coffee, perfect for this time of year. It's usually made with coconut, and many know it as "coconut turrón," but this time we'll make it the way my grandmother typically does, with panela and coffee. If you really like these kinds of sweets, I invite you to join me in the process and see how this delicious panela turrón turns out so you can make it at home and enjoy it with family and friends.

Ingredientes(1 kg):
Ingredients(1 kg):
- 800 ml de almíbar de papelón previamente preparado con 3 cucharadas de azúcar y clavos de olor y 900 ml de agua
- 500 ml de café líquido
- Una pisca de sal
- 1 huevo
- 1 kg de harina de trigo
- 800 ml of pre-prepared piloncillo syrup (made with 3 tablespoons of sugar and cloves) and 900 ml of water
- 500 ml of brewed coffee
- A pinch of salt
- 1 egg
- 1 kg of wheat flour

Procedure:
Paso 01
Step 01
The first step I took was to add the dry ingredients to the bowl, in this case the flour and a pinch of salt. I made a small hole in the center of the flour to then add the syrup.

Paso 02
Step 02
In the next step I'm going to add our egg to the center and mix it with the flour until it disappears.

Paso 03
Step 03
Next, we will gradually add the syrup, folding it in with a spatula. We will also gradually add the liquid coffee and stir until all the coffee from the syrup is incorporated. We will reserve a little to add to the tray later. The mixture will be ready when we notice that it has no lumps and bubbles form in our homogeneous mixture; then it will be ready to pour into the tray.

Paso 04
Step 04
Next, we add the syrup that we preserved in our tray to completely cover our mixture. Don't worry if the syrup rises to the top of the mixture, as it will sink down as it cooks, cooking along with the nougat. We bake it at 180°C for 50 minutes. After this time, we let it rest for 1 hour and then we can enjoy our nougat.

After I let the nougat rest, it already has this peculiar golden color that makes it so tempting. Tell me if you liked this recipe and if you would dare to make it 🥰🤭, I'll read you in the comments. Greetings until the next recipe, thanks for reading.
