RE: First Time Harvesting Sea Urchin: First Time Tasting and Flexing our Fish Catch this Week

in Foodies Bee Hive12 days ago

I am not sure if I have eaten this kind of sea urchin but when I was a kid, we used to eat the "suwaki" which has shorter spikes and has brown, white, or red spikes. They have very soft meat so we really have to buy more if we want to eat more. They just slide down the throat easily. That fish is huge, that's a big blessing. I miss eating fish roe.

Swaki is more tasty than tuyom. And it has bigger meat. Tuyom can be found 10 meters away from the seashore. While swaki is in the deep water like people say it's from "lawud"

Oh, so it's harder to find "swaki." It takes some skill and patience. More sea urchin hunting next time...😀🙂
