My go to sick day food is chicken noodle soup. Basically the same principle right? A warm comfort food and I really think they do have healing properties. And love the nurse dog! We don't have one of those, but I have relatives with dogs that we love, and we dog-sit for when their owners need to be gone. I haven't tried the eucalyptus oil, but I do love its smell, so I'll keep that in mind.
