RE: Simple Lentil Pottage

in Foodies Bee Hivelast year

How funny that I found that I have something in common with you by reading a cooking blog.

I cooked lentils only once. I made a cream soup. Pretty good...

Your recipe is new to me and I'm referring to the "milk and flour part". I'm thinking of trying it myself.

I learned from a Turkish chef that orange lentils are the best.

P.S. I have something else in common with you—gallbladder problems. I had an ultrasound today.

Cream soup is also good, I know there are lots of recipes on the internet. Maybe I'll try it out once, but make it only half creamy :)

You can use sour cream, instead of milk and flour, or whipping cream, but I find whipping cream too heavy for my gallbladder and if you had an ultrasound, then you should not use it either.

I hope everything is ok with your gallbladder :)

I prefer half-creamy too. Even if it is not indicated for the gallbladder, we frequently use sour cream. My wife is from Ardeal. My gallbladder is relatively fine but it has an irregular shape or position, since birth, and I often have pains that the doctor told me to get used to.
