Same thing being a dad... The two oldest of our 4 sons (& 1 daughter, the youngest) are moving out, they finished school, found a job, and are starting their adult life. And I am filled with sooooooo much pride. And yet, I still see them running around the house as 3 year olds, and I am scared to death for all the bad things that could happen to them out there in the world...
Yeah, we want to keep a part of their childhood alive...

The time is coming and i know it will hit faster than I can wrap my head around. I think our kids will stick around until they've finished their chosen tertiary education, but well will see. Perhaps they want to travel the world first!

Right? Its both wonderful and scary to see the world through their eyes. One one hand they have fresh new perspective that we could really learn from as an older generation,(oh lord just take me out back and shoot me 😂😂😂😂🤦‍♀️🤣I feel so old saying that!) or, we worry about their naivety and wan to bubble wrap them.

Totally!!! We just keep trying to make them understand the risks of some things, and their naive view on it, while feeling older and older in the process :-D Indeed, makes me want to lock them up in a glass cupboard :-)
And on the other hand, us, the old folks, need more of their their enthousiasm, fresh perspective and naivity...
