Shrimp Potato Sambal
This Shrimp Potato Sambal menu is very popular in my area and maybe in other areas of Indonesia. Of course because we like spicy.
The spicy taste of the chili sauce and the sweetness of the shrimp and the savory taste of the potatoes are truly a delicious combination. It is one of my mainstay menus.
Ingredients:
- 250 grams of shrimp
- 200 grams of potatoes
- ½ onion
Grinded spices:
- 2 pcs of shallots
- 3 pcs of garlic
- 10 pcs of red chilies
- 8 pcs of small green chilies
- ½ pcs of tomatoes
- ½ tsp of salt, ½ tsp of sugar and ¼ of flavor enhancer
How to cook
The first thing before cooking shrimp is to clean the shrimp from the head and skin and dirt.
Do you also clean the shrimp dirt??
After the shrimp is done, we move on to the potatoes. Peel the potatoes.
Soak them in water until the potatoes are covered. So that the potato sap is gone
Cut the potatoes as shown or as desired.
Prepare the oil.
Fry the cut potatoes. Until they are brown
While waiting for the potatoes to cook, we slice the onions.
First wash the spices provided. Then blend all the spices until smooth.
Separate the oil used for frying potatoes. Leave a little for sauteing the spices.
Saute the spices that we have ground using a blender
Saute until the chili sauce smells slightly fragrant, then add the sliced onions.
Add seasonings such as salt and others.
Cook until the chili is cooked over medium low heat
After the chili sauce is cooked. Add the shrimp that we have washed clean earlier.
Cook until the shrimp is cooked.
Once the prawns are cooked. Put the potatoes that we have fried into the shrimp sauce that we cooked.
Keep stirring until the chili sauce evenly covers the potatoes.
Taste correction.
Ready to serve.
