Good foods shared with family during any occasion always make the perfect moment. It feels like making the bond stronger and the relationships better. Recently, my partner's older brother celebrated his birthday with us. And he decided to treat us into a Korean Restaurant to have some Samgyeopsal.
The restaurant was located where he currently lives now, but is an hour away from our home. But, even though it will take us quite some travel time, we still went to celebrate with him. We came to the location of the restaurant, and they were already in the counter ordering. Luckily, we got to be on time before we went straight to our designated table.
The place is very organized and cozy, and the ambiance was welcoming. We were also assisted by the staffs right away the moment we entered the door. I looked around and check out the other tables. Since it is still weekdays, there are only a few customers dining in.
We were handed over the plates and the grilling station. The staff also gave us the cue that we can now get some meat, side dishes, and drinks on the buffet.
We hurriedly checked out the available side dishes they offer. From the lettuce, flavored meats, and different kinds of drinks. They have some sausages, cucumbers, kimchi, tofu, potato marbles, and many other side dishes I know nothing about.
Also, they were offering drinks, from service water, lemonade, and iced tea. It looks like they already got everything covered. My partner started getting everything we need on our table.
After going back and forth to the buffet, we finally started grilling and eating some of the side dishes. We also got ourselves some Cheese, Sauce, and Rice. Also, you can see the side dishes we got, from Fish Cake, Kimchi, and a lot of perfectly grilled meat.
Before eating, we greeted my partner's brother first and sang a happy birthday song to him. He looked happy, and then we started the feast with our chopsticks and plates.
The grilling continued for hours, and we surely enjoyed the moment. We did not focus on having a lot of meat, but also tried the different food they offered, like the sausages.
We also shared the good foods with conversation and laughter. We talked about life, shared stories, and how we loved the food. We also started sharing our comments on the tastes, and we laughed on how we tried the desserts too. It was indeed a wonderful moment for everyone.
Of course, before we started the feast, we took some time to take pictures for remembrance. A staff offered himself to take pictures of us, and even greeted the birthday celebrant too. As you can see on our table, we have so much to eat, and you can also see the smiles we have as we felt the excitement on sharing good foods together.
Indeed, Samhyeopsal makes a perfect treat on any occasion. And we will surely come back and eat here again!
