Chicken with Radish and Mustard Greens

in Foodies Bee Hivelast year

Good day!

Today is cloudy, with wind and a soft breeze making the weather a little bit colder than usual. Cold weather calls for comfort food so today I cooked a comfort food that is delicious and makes you feel comfortable. The soup of this dish is one of my favorites and one of the best soups in the Philippine kitchen.

One I was young my father would cook this dish with no vegetables at all the ingredients that he used then consisted of only two ingredients namely: Chicken and young leaves of tamarind. The dish is so pristine you can enjoy the taste of chicken combined with the sourness of young tamarind leaves.

Cooking time for this dish is 15-20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • Chicken (300 grams)
  • Radish (100 grams)
  • Mustard Greens (5 grams) - planted by my husband
  • Ginger (1 piece, small)
  • Onion (1 piece, small)
  • Green Pepper (3 pieces, small)
  • Cooking oil
