Good day!
I am a Tagalog and my husband is an Ilokano who also loves to cook for our family. Most of the time we cook a lot of Ilocano dishes every day. What I admire most about Ilocano dishes is their simplicity, some of the dishes only have a few ingredients just like the one that I am going to show you today. This dish is called "Sardines in Tomato Sauce with Moringa Leaves. The dish consists of only two main ingredients, Sardines in Tomato Sauce and Moringa. I've got to tell you guys that this dish is very tasty and also very nutritious because of the Sardines and the Moringa. I can still remember that when my husband introduced this dish to me I was kind of reluctant to try it but when I tried I immediately liked it because it tasted good and tasty (I can taste the sardine and the moringa).
This dish is also very very easy to prepare and cook, cooking time for this dish is about 10 minutes.
Ingredients
- Sardine in Tomato Sauce (150 grams)
- Moringa (about 50 grams)
- Onion (1 pc, medium)
- Cooking Oil
- Salt

I just plucked the moringa leaves from their stem

I just peeled and sliced the onion

I prepared the Sardines in Tomato Sauce
How to cook
