Yesterday, my friends and I went on a food tour we'd planned long ago. We visited many places in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul.

Our first stop was Day Day Pastanesi, famous for its apple pies. We waited in line for about 30 minutes before trying their apple pies. One pie cost $1.80 and was delicious.

Our second stop was Bena Ice Cream. Everyone was eating ice cream on kadayıf (a type of Turkish dessert). We really liked the pistachio kadayıf. We took a sample. It cost about $3.10.

After that, we went to Dönerbank, where I'd tried döner kebab before. 60 grams of döner cost $6. The complimentary items were also quite good.

After eating there, we went to Sıhhat Muhallebicisi, famous for its Kazandibi dessert. There were only 4 desserts left. We were very lucky. It easily makes it into my top 3 best milk-based desserts. This kazan dibi (a type of Turkish dessert) cost 2.5 USD.

We had a very enjoyable day. Istanbul is a great place for street food.
