Just a few days left in the Cape so my son took me to Rupert & Rothschild
This place was recommended by my daughter Eden as she had been there some time back.
They were busy renovating the restaurant so they set up in one of their entertainment halls. There were only two tables set and we had our own waitress who looked after only our table.
Seem like we were once again blessed to enjoy something like this with only one other table available.
At the entrance to the temporary "restaurant'
Table for two
Caught off guard
Display of some wines
A bread board with wine butter, some croquettes and olives from the estate
The wine that came with our meal
Much to celebrate
Cheers to me - cheers to you
Classique
Chef's Plate - Kudu
Salad with baby nectarines
Slow cooked lamb
Entrance to the Estate
The food was excellent albeit small helpings - perfect for me but I believe Lee would have enjoyed a bigger portion.
For those who are interested, here is the menu - shortened due to their renovations of the restaurant
How elegant
Shortened Menue | Lee ordered the Chef's plate |

We weren't able to explore as it was bitterly cold even though the sun was shining.
