If you’ve ever wandered down 12th Main Road in Indiranagar on a busy evening, chances are you’ve passed Araku, a coffee shop. Right opposite to it is The Reservoire, a place where the vibes meet the views. Decided to step in and spend an evening at their 4th-floor rooftop, and let me tell you, it wasn’t just a meal or a drink. It was an experience.
The elevator doors opened, and I was greeted with that perfect wooden door with the massive R logo on it, and then came a canopy of soft lights, lush vertical gardens, and the low thrum of music setting the mood. There’s something about open-air seating under the evening sky that instantly makes conversations flow better and drinks taste sweeter.
The indoor areas feature a mix of lounge-style seating and high bar stools, perfect for both deep conversations and casual catch-ups. The ambiance leans into cozy without being too dim, thanks to warm lighting that glows just right, casting a soft, amber tone over the room. The textured walls were playful, surrounded by tasteful decor. It’s the space where you can sink into a plush seat and let time stretch a little longer than usual.
Whether you’re catching up with a friend or finding a quiet spot for yourself, the indoor seating at The Reservoire wraps you in a vibe that’s both welcoming and stylish.
I’m not one to exaggerate when it comes to cocktails, but The Reservoire’s bar? It’s in a league of its own. With over 200 choices. After a glance at the drinks menu, I went with their Elderflower Blueberry Gin Cocktail. It’s floral, fruity, and refreshing, perfect for a rooftop evening. Pretty fabulous.

We went in hungry and ordered a little bit — the sushi (comfort food on another level), their chicken crisps (crisp, flavorful, and gone in minutes), and some clear chicken soup that hit the right cozy feels. Every dish seemed honest and warm, making it even more enjoyable.

Sweet Endings That Hit the Spot
No visit to The Reservoire is truly complete without dipping into their dessert menu. And trust me, it’s worth saving space for. I ended my evening on a high (sugar) note with a few standout treats.
The Brownie Lasagne with Ice Cream (yes, it’s eggless!) was layers of fudgy brownie and tangy cream cheese, served warm with a scoop of ice cream that melted into every bite. Then there was the Jack Daniels Chocolate Cake, a signature indulgence where rich, molten chocolate is subtly infused with the smokiness of whiskey, deep and seriously spellbinding.
For something lighter but equally luscious, the Tres Leches Cake brought soft sponge soaked in three types of milk — airy, creamy, and perfectly sweet. The classics weren’t far behind: a Walnut Chocolate Brownie with just the right crunch, and a slice of their Eggless Red Velvet Cake, velvety smooth and crowned with a gentle swirl of frosting. Each dessert felt like a little celebration, whether you’re sharing or not (I didn’t).
