in Foodies Bee Hivelast month

HELLO FOODIES HIVE! This is me @daileen23 sharing this recipe for you.

Are you familiar with "sinanduloy"? What comes to your mind if you hear "sinanduloy"? Do you have your answer, or are you curious about it?

Today, please bear with me as we prepare and cook "sinanduloy". But before that, can you guess what "Sinanduloy" is?

Sinanduloy is a Cebuano dish made from cooking a mixture of either rice with sweet potato or corn with sweet potato. It's very easy to cook and is good to eat partnered with grilled pork, grilled fish, dried fish or what we call "bulad", veggies and many viands to eat together with this called sinanduloy.

Here are the ingredients:

sweet potato diced (6 pcs small size); it depends if you want more

water (5 cups)

corn grits (3 cups)

Procedure:

  1. Peel the sweet potato and cut it into dice.

I used violet sweet potato, or "tapol", though there are many varieties of sweet potato.

Sweet potatoes are tuberous roots which are a staple food in parts of the world. Cooked sweet potato is very beneficial in that it is rich in protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, and other essential nutrients. This is also a good source of fiber that is good and can help in digestion.

Corn is usually considered a vegetable, but it will go for processing to make it corn grits or grain that is also rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Eating "sinanduloy" offers a balanced meal and has benefits like improved digestion, boosting the immune system, providing energy and many more.
