Hello, friends especially foodies!
Maybe you're curious with my title and it keeps you imagining what i mean? Or you already realized what i mean from the title? No matter what do you think about it, let's jump into my unexpected nice experience of having Sakura under Sakura.
Well, the only place that i know where we can find sakura in the food court is the new one Japanese food court which is located in Senayan Plaza, named Yashinoki Yokocho.
From the front, the gate is large and there is a large maneki neko (japanese lucky cat) ceramic statue which welcome us there.
When you enter it, on the left, you will find a map of the food court.
There you could find the stalls that are there. Unfortunately still there two stalls not yet opened and there are only 12 stalls there. Not large range of food choice but yes, you could find all Japanese food there.
Near the entry gate to the dining area, there was a sake store.
We were full that day so when we entered the place, we were just craving for dessert, something sweet would be nice. Then, we found the Sakura stall which sold Japanese sweets.
They sold strawberry smoothie, some daifuku mochi variants (mochi cream, mochi choco, mochi matcha redbean, and mochi redbean), warabi mochi (matcha, original, choco), japanese tiramisu (matcha, kinako, cocoa), premium bottled sponge cake, and strawberry cream sand.
There was a large pricelist of them too next to the glasses showing case. They weren't cheap but i thought it would be worth to try.
The box of the two daifuku mochi we ordered was great. It was so nice and pretty (my boyfriend even teased me to bring it home).
Happy to get the sakura sweets, double happy to get the table near Sakura artificial tree. We got Japanese atmosphere there.
Well the packaging was great, let's see what's inside.
The daifuku mochi we chose that day were choco and matcha variant.
I had the choco daifuku mochi while my boyfriend had the matcha one.
It had really soft chewy skin, with cream inside, with the taste of medium sweetness. Well it also had ichigo (strawberry) as the filling too. Served chilled.
The chocolate powder and matcha powder completed it out as the outter.
The daifuku mochi there were unique and so tasty, it was one of the best dessert i've ever had!
It even could made me smile.
Before coming back home, we strolled around the food court and there was only a stall on second floor that made us curious. Well, it would be on our next wish eating list then, LOL.
Overall, we both loved the sakura sweets that we enjoyed near the sakura tree plus the Japanese ambience there. And of course we would coming back later.
