First time making homemade chicken nuggets

in Foodies Bee Hive15 hours ago

Hello fellow foodies lovers... It's been a long time since I last shared my cooking experience in this community. Recently I tried a new experience. For the first time in my life, I made my own chicken nuggets. Usually I eat packaged nuggets, and now I can make them myself. It's not a difficult food to make, but I feel proud to be able to make chicken nuggets with my own hands. And what makes me even more proud is that it tastes better than nuggets from famous brands. And... I present the recipe to you!

The Ingredients :

  • 500 grams of boneless chicken- (I used chicken breast, if available it's better to use chicken thigh)
  • 3 tablespoons tapioca flour
  • 500 grams of breadcrumbs
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon of chicken stock powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • cooking oil
  • Celery (optional, I use it for a little flavor)

How to make it?

  • Chop the onion, it's better to grate the garlic so it's fine and doesn't interfere with the taste

  • Saute the onion and garlic until fragrant and set aside.

  • Cut the chicken into pieces then grind it using a chopper.

  • Then mix in the eggs, tapioca flour and spices. Add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil and chopped celery then mix until evenly mixed.

  • Grease the mold with cooking oil so it doesn't stick. Then pour the nugget mixture into the mold.

  • Steam for about 20 minutes. Once cooked and slightly cool, remove the nugget from the mold and cut into pieces.

  • Prepare 1 beaten egg and breadcrumbs in a separate container. (for the egg, I added a little flour and a little salt)

  • Dip the nugget pieces into the flour then dip them in the breadcrumbs, repeat twice so that the nuggets are evenly covered with the breadcrumbs.

  • After that, heat the oil and fry the nuggets. Before stocking in the freezer, it is better to fry them briefly.

My, a homecooked chicken nuggets, it looks so easy to make but i'm not sure if i'll be able to copy this 😆. Anyways, homemade one is much different to the one we can buy in the supermarket no, at least with your version you didn't put any other chemicals which is much safer to eat 🤤✨💃

That's right! Food packaging usually uses preservatives. So, I prefer to make myself.
