Greetings hivers. In Venezuela there are many traditional sweets and desserts that have been maintained from generation to generation, however, there is a dessert that, although it's not part of them, is very popular, and without a doubt is already a classic when we talk about Venezuelan desserts, it's so popular that it is even often prepared as a birthday cake 🎂🥳, I mean the chocolate marquise. This cold cake is prepared with cookies and chocolate cream, however today I want to share with you an adaptation that I made of it, I'm sure you will love it 😃😋🤤.
Esta torta fría es muy sencilla de preparar y para hacerla se requieren pocos ingredientes:
🍰 100 gramos de chocolate oscuro
🍰 2 paquetes de galletas María sabor a naranja
🍰 100 gramos de margarina sin sal
🍰 1 lata de leche condensada
🍰 1 1/2 taza de jugo de naranja
🍰 Lluvia de chocolate, maní o almendras molidas para decorar
This cold cake is very simple to prepare and requires few ingredients to make:
🍰 100 grams of dark chocolate
🍰 2 packages of orange flavored Maria cookies
🍰 100 grams of unsalted margarine
🍰 1 can of condensed milk
🍰 1 1/2 cup orange juice
🍰 Rain of chocolate, peanuts or ground almonds to decorate

Lo primero que vamos a hacer es picar el chocolate para que se derrita más rápido.
The first thing we are going to do is chop the chocolate so that it melts faster.

Seguidamente ponemos una olla a baño María y en ella vamos a echar el chocolate, la margarina y la leche condensada y mezclamos hasta que el chocolate se haya derretido totalmente y la mezcla esté cremosa.
Next we put a pot in a bain-marie and in it we are going to add the chocolate, margarine and condensed milk and mix until the chocolate has completely melted and the mixture is creamy.


El siguiente paso es armar la torta, pueden usar el envase de su preferencia. Primero echamos en el fondo del envase una capa de crema de chocolate.
The next step is to assemble the cake, you can use the container of your choice. First we pour a layer of chocolate cream on the bottom of the container.


A continuación empezamos a remojar en el jugo de naranja una a una las galletas, es importante sumergirlas y sacarlas rápido para que no se pongan demasiado húmedas y suaves y se vayan a romper, cubrimos el envase con nuestra capa de galletas cuidando en ir tapando con pedazos de galletas más pequeños los espacios que van quedando vacíos.
Next we begin to soak the cookies one by one in the orange juice. It's important to submerge them and remove them quickly so that they don't become too wet and soft and break. We cover the container with our layer of cookies, taking care to cover with smaller pieces of cookies the spaces that become empty.



Cuando la capa de galletas esté bien cubierta echamos una generosa capa de crema de chocolate y repetimos el proceso hasta que se terminen las galletas, la última capa es de crema de chocolate. La altura de la marquesa dependerá del tamaño del envase.
When the layer of cookies is well covered, we add a generous layer of chocolate cream and repeat the process until the cookies are gone, the last layer is chocolate cream. The height of the marquise will depend on the size of the container.


Para decorar la marquesa pueden usar lo que más les guste, yo trituré galletas, (de las mismas que usé), y las esparcí sobre la torta junto a lluvia de chocolate.
To decorate the marquise you can use whatever you like the most, I crushed cookies (the same ones I used), and spread them on the cake along with chocolate rain.



Una vez lista la meten en la nevera hasta el siguiente día para que esté bien compacta y fría. Lo ideal es hacerla un día antes. La combinación de chocolate y naranja es absolutamente deliciosa 🍊🍫😋, es un éxito, y les aseguro que les gustará a todos 😃🤤. ¿Qué esperan para probarla?
