Preparing My Soft, Crunchy and Tasty Chin-Chin.

in Foodies Bee Hivelast month

Hello everyone welcome to my blog.. Actually this is my first time posting on this community. I discovered this amazing and interesting community and I decided to subscribe to it.

So today I decided to prepare this tasty and crunchy chin chin as I really craved for it a long time now. So I got these ingredients for the chin chin preparation.

My Recipe
1kg of flour
100g of sugar
250g of margarine
A seed of nutmeg
Milk
A pinch of salt
Egg (2)
Baking powder
Vanilla flavor
Vegetable oil

Preparation:
In a large bowl, i had to seive my flour and then properly mix and combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and salt.

I then added the margarine and rubbed it into the dry ingredients until it forms a crumby texture.

I cracked in the egg and added my vanilla flavor and mixed lightly.

I then proceeded to gradually add milk and water a little at a time and mixed it until it formed a soft, non-sticky dough.

I had to transfer the dough to my work surface filled with flour and then I kneaded the dough until smooth.

I rolled out the dough and cut my dough into small bite sized cubes in a way I will be able to enjoy it.

After repeating this process till I finished cutting all the dough into small sized cubes, I set it aside.
I went ahead to heat my vegetable oil in a deep frying pan on medium heat because I wanted my chin-chin coming out golden brown and crunchy.

So when the oil was hot, I fried my chin-chin in batches, stirring occasionally for even browning and when I was done frying,

I removed the chin-chin and drained it using my sieve and I allowed it to cool completely before storing in airtight containers.

And yes I satisfied my cravings today.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
