My tasty oat meal is ready

in Foodies Bee Hive4 days ago

Oat is one meal i never loved, i didn't like to eat until one day a loved family member fell sick that the attention of a medical doctor was urgently needed. She was diagnosed of glucose in the blood and oat meal happened to be one among the food that was prescribed for her by the doctor to keep her glucose in check and stable.

My problem is any food that i do not eat, i do not bother learning the steps to making it. But now she has pleaded with me to make it and i can't. She had to take her time to teach me the what i needed to do. I learned it for love of helping a love person, but the first time i made it and had a taste of it was nice something that shouldn't be missing in our food timetable. @qurator's #TopHiveChef made me remember it's been weeks i last had it.

Making my oat meal

Ingredients for my oatmeal

  • 200g of Oat
  • 400ml of water
  • 1 tablespoon of white sugar(optional) if you're with a health condition
  • 1 sachet of milk (optional)

Step 1
Put my cooking pot on fire and add water then allow it to boil.

Step 2
Pour in the oat and allow it to cook well on a low heat. I stir in every two to three minutes.

Step 3
Give it 15 to 20 minutes and it's done, am give it this long time because it's the jumbo size, for this it needs more time than it should. After this it's done. So i will add my sugar and my milk.

After the mix i plated it out

It really tastes good, maybe you can try it out someday. It can be served with a simple made beans no matter how you prepare it, It goes well.

Reading this post reminded me of my son, he really likes oatmeal but the same thing happens to him as to you if he hasn't tried something, he doesn't make the slightest effort, totally different from me who is curious and always discovering flavors 😉🤭

That means your son is the opposite of his mother, Smile. It's not that easy. But am glad I had a taste of it.

I actually do love taking oat. It has a kind of way it always fills me up completely
