A city full of stories, Yangon, Myanmar. When I arrived in Yangon, I visited almost everything that caught my attention. Although it was only 2 days, I felt many interesting things in this city, including food, restaurants, and of course food experiences.
This is the only restaurant that made me curious because it was very crowded with people visiting. I wanted to feel the vibes of being a Yangon citizen and in a place like this, I finally got closer to them.
Lumbini Tea Room, while waiting for my return flight, I took the time to look for chai tea here, a tea that really amazed me because it tasted so good. It seems very different from the premix chai tea that I usually buy in sachets. Here I really felt the authenticity of the taste of chai tea.
Given a fairly large menu book and had many types of food and drinks, but because I had already had lunch, I looked for a simple menu like a snack that I had never known before.
I saw a unique photo, similar to a flower and a bowl, so I ordered it. Even though it was written as signature breakfast, it was already 2:00 pm, but the menu was still available and could be ordered. Without hesitation, I ordered both. A glass of chai tea and blossom crispy paratha and cooked pea.
As the name suggests, Blossom crispy paratha, it blooms and is crispy. Seriously. It looks very aesthetic and has its own value. For some reason, I think this will be very difficult to do without an expert. How can they fry the paratha and shape it like a blooming flower?
The filling is also very delicious, cooked pea with a touch of abundant spices but not too disturbing. Don't ask about the taste! It's an amazing snack. I took the crispy side and I added cooked pea on each spoon and swallowed it without worry. As you can see, this has a special taste, I don't know where else I can find this food if not at Lumbini Tea House, Yangon city! Omg I miss this food, really!
Paired with chai tea, it adds a perfect and heartwarming flavor. Wait, I was remembering how I enjoyed both of those dishes and I finally wanted to find it here.
