A bowl of food that brought me to this place. Who would have thought that I could finally eat Moat Hin Kha (Mohinga) in Myanmar? Of course, it was an achievement that should be appreciated. Not for nothing, because Myanmar is in a prolonged conflict, so it is quite risky to come here at this time.

Not finding mohinga in Yangon city and having to prepare to go to Old Bagan, then I found a restaurant that serves mohinga. Food that is the pride of the Myanmar people. Do you know what mohinga is?

This is rice noodles with fish soup with yellow color. Most likely this is coconut milk with special spices, so the aroma of the fish is not so fishy. If in Malaysia there is laksa, then in Myanmar there is mohinga. In the sense that both foods have the same concept but different tastes.

I ordered 3 types of menus that were all different. Really, that afternoon I felt very hungry and needed a top up of energy from food. When I arrived at Old Bagan, I found this restaurant even though it looked very simple. But, their menu is quite varied for typical Myanmar food.

Ordered Mohinga, Chapati, and Chapati mohinga, all three have different tastes. In fact, while in Old Bagan, I had an afternoon meal here before finally returning to the hotel. All three made me feel very integrated with the community and become a Myanmar person.

Mohinga is like a different food, its taste is unique, only different from chapati mohinga is only in the noodle part. Chapati is more like nan bread that is cut into pieces, when soaked with fish soup it is very light and melts on the tongue.

The broth from this yellow fish soup will really be missed in the future. It's nothing, there is nothing similar to this in my hometown, even in supermarkets here they don't sell mohinga seasoning. I like the taste, especially with refreshing mint leaves.

Chapati, this is a dessert when you finish eating with a savory flavor. The taste is really complete, it will make your mood even higher. Accompanied by some condiments such as sugar and mung beans on the side of my plate that must be dipped before landing on my tongue.

It turns out that what those who have been to Myanmar say is true, even if you find a random restaurant, none of them will fail, all will succeed in captivating you with their perfect taste.

You got to satisfy your cravings despite how risky the area is. It's kinda commendable

Even though it is very risky, it is necessary to get out of the comfort zone once in a while.
