Hey there, fellow Hivers! š
Howās everyone doing tonight? I feel like sharing a little story about what happened last night, it made my tummy super happy, but totally wrecked my diet in one go š
So hereās the thing, I was all settled in watching TV last night, planning to just head straight to bed afterwards. But then my stomach⦠OMG, it suddenly started yelling for food. Iām actually trying to diet right now, and Iād promised myself no dinner! But my willpower stood zero chance against my cravings. I gave in and wandered to the kitchen, just looking for something quick I could throw together with whatever I had on hand.
At first I thought Iād just make a simple sausage sandwich. But then I glanced at the microwave, and a lightbulb went off; āWait a second⦠what if I turn regular bread into pizza?ā
And just like that, my late-night experiment began!
Itās honestly so easy to make:
- I grabbed a few slices of white bread and roughly tore them into chunks. Mixed them with an egg and a splash of fresh milk, then stirred it all up until I got a crumbly, dough like base. Spread that out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Next, I brushed on some sauce (I used chili pasta sauce) I had lying around, then topped it with sliced rounds of sausage and thin strips of onion.

Added another layer of sauce plus some mayo, then piled on plenty of shredded cheese so it gets all melty and gooey.

Popped it in the oven/microwave for about 25 minutes.
And⦠ta-da! Hereās how it turned out š

From that pale, fluffy dough base to a golden, cheesy bake with perfectly browned sausage. And the smell? Chefās kiss. I told myself Iād just have āa little biteā⦠and ended up eating the whole thing. Diet? Yeah, Iāll start that again tomorrow!
Sure, this is a super basic, makeshift version using plain bread, but itās honestly so good for a late night snack! Tasty, cheap, and best of all, it just makes me happy.
Have you guys ever had one of those moments where āstomach wins, diet losesā? Or do you have your own go to homemade pizza hack? Drop it in the comments, Iād love to hear!
Thanks so much for stopping by and reading my little late night ramble. Hope this gives some of you inspiration when youāre feeling too lazy to cook but still want something delicious.
Warm wishes from my tiny kitchen,
See you in the next post!
