Hi, Foodies Beehive Community! I just want to share with you the colorful lunch meals prepared by my French husband almost every day.
Fresh orange juice is always present during our first heavy meal of the day. I arrived pregnant in 2019 so I wasn't allowed to drink coffee. Drinking orange juice is great for Vitamin C.
I apologize if I don't have photos of my husband who prepared the meals but our main subject of this blog is the colorful lunch meals. Haha!
Macaroni pasta with salad
This photo was taken during the summer, it was hot that we decided to enjoy our lunch outside of the house.
My husbad created his salad sauce with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, onions, salt, and pepper.
With our salad, he usually put green lettuce, red tomatoes, ripe avocados, and carrots.
The French baguette is always present as well.
We spread the unsalted butter on the baguette and put on jambon or ham.
Spaghetti pasta with salad and chicken meat on the side
I used to be a rice eater back in the Philippines, so here in France, pasta is a staple. Here on this plate, you can see white chicken strips from last night's dinner.
Baguette Hotdog
Haha, this meal reminds me of Jollibee Hotdog sandwich so my husband created his version of a hotdog sandwich.
- Sausage
- Baguette
- tomato ketchup
- mustard
- white sauce (I forgot the real name)
- grated cheese
Salad with green lettuce, tomato, avocado, carrots and cucumber
I just took a close-up photo of this colorful salad plate.
Salad with smoked salmon
Although I was pregnant, I was able to eat smoked salmon but I wasn't allowed to eat sushi. Haha!
Salad with Charcuterie
While eating salad, we also have charcuterie stored in the fridge. We eat charcuterie with bread or baguette.
I hope you're enjoying looking at these colorful meals. :D
