Hi All!
Hope you all are doing great!
Monsoon is here and as soon as I wake up, I was driving for Indian Desi food show.I thought to prepare parantha for myself and my brother. Usually I make aloo Parantha and paneer Parantha and I have shared that earlier this time, I thought to prepare Parantha from onions curse.I have seen it in restaurants that Anil plant is also an option. So it was my first time preparing an onion parantha.

For me early morning, breakfast on a monsoon day should be something warm that not just feed your stomach. But your soul here is the recipe onion Parantha.

Ingredients Required

Onion 4-5
Flour-1kg
Turmeric powder 1tps
Salt 2tps
Oil
Ghee
Red Chilly Powder 2tsp
Coriander Power 1tsp

Let's make it

Take some red onions of medium-sized.I have taken for and it will be enough as per our flour.

Chop them nicely and very fine cause if they are larger in size it wil be difficult to prepare dough well as parantha out of it.

Now take the wheat flour and its time to add the chopped onions into it. After adding the onions you need to add all the spices that you have and make sure that you don't add water at first.

This is a picture of my masaldani. It is a box in every Indian household where you will find number of spice.

In the picture below you can see I have added turmeric powder red chilli powder coriander powder add salt to it along with the chopped onions and it looked quite colorful and vibrant.

And here is the picture of me mixing all of it with my hands and also, as we have added salt to it already. So the onions start to leave some water so we have to add water very carefully and little by little.

This is how it turned out and we need to let it rest for fifteen minutes all atleast. I went for a quick shower at that time.

20250714_114454.jpg

Now the real struggle begin, we have to take some do in our hand and start making small balls of it. I have taken some wheat flour for in another bowl as it is also required to prepare the parantha.

After making the balls of it dip that ball into the dry wheat flour as it will help to flatten it easily.

Now with the help of rolling pain flatten it and make it round in shape. For the beginners, it can be difficult. But with practice, you will learn to make it round in shape or you can also prepare it in any shape may it be square or rectangular or triangular.

Now place it on a heating pan and let it cook from both the side.

You can add ghee , butter are anything else you like on it to make it taste even better. The picture below shows the pure ghee that my mom has made all by herself. This contains good fat and is good for health.

We eat ghee with almost everything and it taste heavenly. You can apply it directly as I'm applying it in the picture below.
