I was Inactive for so long , but today i'm back again with an easy and amazing recipe which only takes fifteen minutes add is it's a perfect breakfast. I'm talking about Poha, which literally takes 15 minutes and it is made up of flattened rice which is a commonly known as chivda. It's famous in madhya pradesh in gujarat But it's eaten in almost every part of India. It is famous cause of numerous reason as it's easy to make its healthy affordable because of its versatile taste.** You can make it sweet , sour , spicy and tangy. You can add vegetables of your choice as well. Let's start preparing this easy and very famous recipe of poha.**
Ingredients:
- Two bowl Poha
- One Onions
- Two Tomatoes
- TwoGreen Chilly
- Some Coriander
- Salt According To Taste
- One Spoon Turmeric
- Some oil
These are the list of all the.Required ingredients and quantities also mentioned. Now let's start with the preparation part.
Procedure:
Take two bowls Of poha and wash it properly. Here I'm taking patanjali poha , you can take anyone avaliable. After washing it let it sit for 5 minutes.
This is how the flatten rice or poha, looks like. There is no fragrance, nothing at all in it.There is no fragrance Earth, nothing at all in it. Basically It's rice but flattened.
Here I have watched it and now I let it sit until then put a pan over the gas and add some ghee or oil in it. It's completely optional , you can add either one of them. I prefer Ghee cause of its numerous health benefits.
Here, I have added ghee in the pan , and I will let it heat two minutes. Now it's time to add coriander in it. You can add coriander in nanny from leaves either the powder form or just like the one i'm using.
After adding coriander in ghee , let it cook for another half minute And now it's time to add some chopped onions in it. I'm so now let me show you masaldani,where we gave all our spice.
You will spot masaldani in every indian household and The secret of tasty food often hides in the masaldani.
Here are different prices that are in my masalani, and I often use while cooking. Spices are necessary and crucial part of our food without them our food is incomplete.
The spicy food doesn't mean the amount of chillies you have add in it. It simply means the type of spices that are used to preparea meal. India is known as the leading producer of spices in the world and it also exports lots of spices to other countries. So, how can you not expect spices in Indian food when india itself is leading producer of it.
Moving forward it's time to Chop Some onions green chillies and tomatoes. I have added only one again cause I was preparing poha 42 , but if you want to prepare poha for more than two people , you can add onions according to edge or according to your taste. According to me onions are the key ingredient in poha they provide the much needed taste and enhances the flavor to the food.
This is the onion chopped by me, One most important thing while preparing Poha you have to finally chop the onions Otherwise it won't look good and won't taste better.

And here's the chopped tomatoes that I have used in Poha.I have used two small size tomatoes. TomatoesAdd a tangy flavor to the poha , which is much needed.
Here is the picture of wrestling Poha.You should let it sit for minute at least.
Now it's time to add some onions to the oil and let them cook until the color changes to brown.
Now it's time to add some chopped tomatoes in it and also turmeric salt and green chillies. You can also add red chilli powder if you want but I personally don't like.
Now it's time to add poha in it. Mix it well and let it cook 7-8 minutes straight. You can cover it with lead , but you have to make sure that it does not get burn cause it's easy to burn if the flame is too high. After mixing it well and cooking it well for it 8 minutes , you're poha is finally ready to eat.
I have prepared poha for the very first time and honestly I have made numerous mistake And I would like to tell you cause I don't want you guys to repeat it.
Don't soak it for more than 5 minutes or else.It will become more so soft and you won't enjoy it.
You can add veggies according to your taste.But you have to add it after adding the onions and let it cook for another 3-4 minutes. I forgot to add veggies and I realised it later, but we can't add veggies later to it cause they will not get cook properly.
I forgot to add lemon but without it it was also delicious, adding lemon is personal choice.
Accept these mistakes, it was perfect and it tastes heavenly. I loved preparing it and I also enjoyed eating it.
And finally this is how it looks, For someone who was preparing it for a very first time, i would say it was great.
