What you miss most when you are away from home?Obviously your parents, but what comes next?
For me it's home cooked food.Today I prepared methi paratha or Fenugreek leaves paratha. If you have ever visited Punjab in India then I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
It's an old recipe of my sweet and lovely grandmother. She said when she first met my grandfather she prepared the exact paratha and my grandfather loved it.
You may guess now how close this is to her, me and now it can be close to you if you prepare it once.
Ingredients required -
Methi leaves
Butter
Onoin
Ginger
Garlic paste
Turmeric
Salt
Coriander leaves
Red chilli powder
Gram flour
Procedure -
Take some fenugreek leaves or methi leaves and cut the end and wash it properly. Chop some onions and coriander leaves.
Now we have to add some spices to the gram flour which includes coriander powder, ginger garlic paste, salt red chilli powder.
Mix it well and add chopped onions, methi leaves, coriander leaves to it.
Now you have to mix it well and let it sit for 10 minutes.
This is how your dough should look like. COLOURFUL.
Now start making it as round as possible, just like your stomach turn out after it's full.
Well, I have tried my best and here we are.
You need to add spoon full of butter for that extra crips and taste.
Also I forgot to show you the morning view from my kitchen.
I enjoyed this paratha with curd with this beautiful view, you can also go with pickel.

The amount of green leaves we have added to it sows how healthy it is and yeah it does have lots of health benefits too.
I use to think only fast food is tasty until I started to prepare healthy food for myself.
