In today's blog I will show you a quick recipe to prepare Raita.I used to eat right the everyday when I was at my hometown after coming from school because the curd was easily available at home along with the veggies. But as I have moved out of my home now I find it little difficult to prepare Raita for myself as I have to step out of my home every time to bring vegetables and curd. So I it is said that the life at village is much healthier as compared to cities.
Raita is healthy as it is made up of curd which contain high protein and bacteria important for gut health and also it has veggies in it that will help you to gain important vitamins and nutrients. And also if you are someone looking for a dish to reduce weight then you are reading the blog just made for you.
So let's get started and make this healthy curd salad for you guys!
Ingredients :
1/2 liter Curd
1 Spoon red chili powder
1 Spoon Black salt
Pinch of normal salt
1 Tomato
1 Onion
1 cucumber
2 Chillies
This is a packet of curd that I just brought from the shop, it's curd from the brand verka, they sell most trusted dairy products in India.
Procedure:
As I prepared the right of a two people so I have taken all the quantity in half and depending upon your requirement you can also do it. The first step is to wash the cucumber and tomatoes and then grate it. It will hardly take 2 to 3 minutes. And also depending upon the choice of vegetables you like in your salad you can also put some radish and capsicum too. As I don't like the much so I didn't added them.
Moving forward you also have to chop the into small pieces and then you have all the basic veggies that goes inside the curd.
Now it's time to add spices to the curd so take a spoon of red chilli powder and add it along with the black salt. Also you can add normal salt according to your taste. Black salt is more healthy comparatively.
Look how colourful it looks, mostly you will notice the Indian food is always colourful it's cause of the spices that are used to prepare the food. Also to me colourful food always look delicious and somehow brings water in my mouth.
Now I have added all the chopped onions tomatoes chillies and the cucumber into the curd. Same to mixed well and let it sit for 5 minutes so that all the flavours of the veggies get into curd.
This is how it turns out, by just looking at it I can tell how tasty it would be. The crisp of cucumber and the sources of tomatoes mix well with the gillies and the flavours come out totally amazing. A perfect balance of flavours with curd. India if you are having a grand celebration it is a must have dish cause without it the food is not complete and you cannot so I'll lots of other things to it as I have mention before.
Just how I decorated it with some tomatoes and I guess that I have done a preety good job. Do try this recipe at your home and do let me know how it turned out for you.
