RE: Meat and Vegetables in Sač

You know, just like you, I am a beer lover too! If I were given a chance to experience such tradition, I would definitely be there and do the wine tasting too. I don't have the experience of having fresh, high-quality wines. We don't have grapes that grow locally, and if we do, it's not really quite common.

What I love about what you are sharing right now is being able to spend time with people with joy, drinks, and food. It's an amazing experience, and I miss doing that because I haven't done it for a long time.

The traditional Balkan earthenware really looks quite unique. I guess something close that we have here is cast iron, but we don't have anything of that shape (they're mostly flat, for shallow frying). Looking at it would lazily do it in the oven :))

The food just looks sumptuous! I could smell it just by looking at it! I'm also quite curious as to how persimmon pairs with that food. Having roasted chestnuts, I can already smell it from here (we traditionally associate this with christmas season). This is really good. I can only imagine how joyful it was to spend time with family and friends and cook out like that.

Thanks for being a foodie and thanks for sharing your experience. It was a wonderful read, and the pictures were very nice too!

Thank you for your comment. Yes, I agree, spending time with family and friends is important; everything else is just extra.
I only mentioned the persimmon tree because we don't have one and it wasn't ripe yet; it doesn't go with this food, but I thought it was a good photo to post.
