After a refreshing morning stroll on our second day in Boracay, we made our way to The Sunnyside Cafe at Station 1 for lunch. Known for its delectable dishes and beachfront ambiance, we were excited to try out their offerings.
We ordered two of their signature dishes – the famous Tuna Salpicao and their flavorful Pork Adobo. Both dishes lived up to their reputation. The Tuna Salpicao was cooked to perfection, with tender chunks of tuna bursting with garlicky goodness. The Pork Adobo, on the other hand, was rich and savory, with the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. It was a comforting meal that reminded us of home-cooked Filipino food, but with a gourmet twist. To complement our meal, we also tried one of their refreshing signature drinks, which added a cool and invigorating touch to our dining experience.
However, we couldn’t help but notice that the serving time was quite disappointing. It took longer than expected for our food to arrive, likely because it was peak hours when we got there. While the delay tested our patience, the stunning view of the beach from our seat made up for it. The turquoise waters, soft waves, and the lively atmosphere of Station 1 provided a soothing backdrop to our meal.
Despite the hiccup with the service, dining at The Sunnyside Cafe was a memorable experience. The combination of delicious food, refreshing drinks, and the unbeatable beachfront view made it worth the wait. It was a reminder of how Boracay’s charm goes beyond its natural beauty – it’s also about the moments shared over good food and great company.
We left The Sunnyside Cafe with satisfied appetites and happy hearts, ready to continue our Boracay adventure. If you’re visiting the island, this spot is worth a try – just make sure to plan your visit outside of peak hours for a smoother experience!
