First time making peanut soup

in Foodies Bee Hive6 days ago

Holla friends! I hope I find you well and hearty. It's been a hectic day since yesterday, trying to resolve a criminal case at the police station. I allowed the men to do their thing while I waited outside the office station for information. I decided to share my recent exploration in cooking peanut soup that turned out better than expected. The process is similar to making melon soup, but the textures are different, and it has a strong peanut taste.

I used the following ingredients to prepare the soup.
Ingredients
▪︎ 500g peanut
▪︎ 1kg cowskin
▪︎ 2 onion bulb
▪︎ 20g pepper
▪︎ 5pcs dry fish
▪︎ 1 cup crayfish
▪︎ 3 seasoning cubes
▪︎ 200g vegetable
▪︎ 2 cooking spoon palm oil
▪︎ 10g ofor (thickner)
▪︎ 2 tablespoon salt

COOKING PROCEDURE

STEP 1
Prepare all proteins, wash with salt, and wash peanut throughly to remove stones and dirts.

STEP 2
Put proteins in a clean pot, slice in 1 onions, add salt, pepper, seasoning cubes, and 4 cups of water. Cook for 10 minutes.

STEP 3
While the protein is cooking, get a blender and blend peanuts into a fine paste. I blended mine in two batches to get a very smooth and thick paste.

STEP 4
Now add 2 tablespoons of palm oil and the soup thickner (ofor) cook for another 10 minutes or until the thickner dissolve.

STEP 5
Add blended peanuts, stir, and let it cook for 7 minutes before adding sliced vegetable and remaining onion. Allow to simmer for 3 minutes and turn off the heat.

It's actually my first time preparing this soup, and it turned out delicious. In fact, I gave out a bowl to a friend, and she requested another saying she and her family really enjoyed the meal.

I and my family also enjoyed the soup, and I'm happy I decided to try it out. You can also try. You might love the outcome.

Thanks for stopping by and for your support always. Warm regards from your friend @kachy2022 ❤❤❤️

Have a great week ahead, friends! 🧡
