Holla amigos! It's a beautiful day today, and I want to share with you a vegetable soup recipe with a combination of proteins. This food is rich in vitamins, proteins, oil, and fat. It's also very delicious and helps to boost blood production and helps us stay healthy. A combination of two major vegetables (Talinium fruticosum) which is generally known as Waterleaf in my country and (Gnetum africanum) known as Okazi or Afang in many parts of Nigeria is combined in this recipe, and I will list the condiments below.
Ingredients
▪︎1kg red fresh cow beef
▪︎ 2 onion bulb
▪︎ generous amount of palm oil
▪︎ 100g fresh habernero pepper
▪︎ 400g dried hake fish
▪︎ 400g Stockfish fillet
▪︎ 200g cow skin
▪︎ salt and seasoning cubes
▪︎ waterleaf (Talinum fruticosum)
▪︎ okazi leaf (Gnetum africanum)
▪︎ crayfish
COOKING PROCEDURE
STEP 1
Prepare meat and fish, wash and season as desired, add chopped onions, and bring to a boil. Wash the okazi leaf, this is a hard leaf, so I like to put mine into the meat after the meat is cooked, which is in contrast to other recipes that put theirs as last.
STEP 2
Add palm oil and the rest of the seasoning after 10 minutes of cooking the vegetable.
STEP 3
Add a generous amount of crayfish and add washed waterleaf after 2 minutes. Stir to combine and taste. Adjust seasoning where necessary.
Our delicious soup is ready to be enjoyed alone or with any swallow of choice. Back in the days, this particular soup was basically difficult to make and very time-consuming because of its preparation. Technology came, and things became easier, including making this soup. With a processor, the vegetables are ready without much stress, making cooking more fun and interesting.
