INGREDIENTS:
4 1/2 cup of All Purpose flour
60g Butter (4 1/2 tbsp)
135 Sugar (2/3 cup)
9g Instant Yeast (1 tbsp)
2 Eggs
200ml room temperature milk or water
1/2 tsp Salt (optional)
Vegetable oil
PROCEDURE:
Alway ensure the your hands are properly washed and every untensil you will be using are neat.
STEP 1:
Place a flour sifter on a neat bowl, pour on 4 1/2 cups of all purpose flour . Then add in the 2/3 cup of granulated sugar, sift it too. After that you sift the 1tsb of flour. I added salt in mine although its optional depending on your taste bud. Sift all the dry ingredients together.
STEP 2 :
Crack the eggs and pour it into the mix,add the 60g butter into it and mix very well. I dont have a mixer so i used my hands to mix for about 15minutes
STEP 3 :
Pour in your milk, i used warm water to mix my powdered milk, pour it in small quantities so you dont make the batter too watery. After that mix it thoroughly for about 20 minutes.
STEP 4 :
Cover your batter with a clean towel while it sits in the bowl for an hour for it to double in size.
STEP 5:
By now your batter should have trippled its size because of the yeast. Aply pressure to it to let out the air in the batter. Mix it and dough it.
STEP 6 :
Sprinkle flour on a tray and place the dough on it , mold it into circles qnd then use the tip of your thumb to create a hole in the middle.
Continue same procedure till you are done with the dough.
STEP 7 :
Heat up the vegetable oil on medium heat, then fry your dough. Turn it while it fries until it turns golden brown.
Once its golden brown on both side. The doughnut is okay qnd good for consumption.
Its very fluffy and delicious 😋
