Pork with Red Wine / Cerdo al vino tinto

Hello, friends of Foodie Bee Hive! Today I bring you a delicious recipe, Pork in Red Wine. Cubans are lovers of this meat in all its forms, but simmered with red wine it is simply wonderful, it has an aphrodisiac touch and is usually a dish out of the ordinary because in Cuba it is not customary to eat it this way.

Here are the ingredients and the preparation process, which is quite simple. Just make sure you have a glass of red wine to finish off this recipe, in my case I used a Spanish wine called Entreríos.

¡¡Hola, amigos de Foodie Bee Hive! Hoy les traigo una deliciosa receta, Cerdo al Vino Tinto. Los cubanos somos amantes de esta carne en todas sus formas, pero cocinada a fuego lento con vino tinto es simplemente maravillosa, tiene un toque afrodisíaco y suele ser un plato fuera de lo común porque en Cuba no se acostumbra comerla así.
Aquí les dejo los ingredientes y el proceso de elaboración, que es bastante sencillo. Solo asegúrense de tener un vasito de vino tinto para rematar esta receta, en mi caso utilicé un vino español llamado Entreríos.


ingredients:

  • 2 pounds of pork chopped into steaks
  • 1 glass of Entreríos Red Wine
  • 5 small cloves of garlic
  • 2 onions
  • 1 chili bell pepper
  • 3 oregano leaves
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Sunflower oil

Ingredientes:

  • 2 libras de cerdo picado en bistec
  • 1 vaso de Vino Tinto Entreríos
  • 5 dientes pequeños de ajo
  • 2 cebollas
  • 1 ají pimiento
  • 3 hojas de orégano
  • Pimienta
  • Sal
  • Aceite se girasol

Cut the pork steaks into strips, add salt and pepper and set aside while I went through the other steps.

Corte los bistec de cerdo en tiras, incorpore sal y pimienta y los reservé mientras adelanté otros pasos.

Next I cut the garlic, onion, chili bell pepper and oregano.

A continuacion corto los ajos, la cebolla, ají pimiento y el orégano.


In a deep pan, add a little oil and sauté the vegetables in this order: garlic, onion, chili bell pepper and oregano.

En una cazuela profunda, agreguo un poco de aceite y sofrío los vegetales en este orden: ajo, cebolla, ají pimiento y orégano.


Then add the meat, pepper and cumin. When the meat is fried together with the vegetables, add a small glass of water to make it soft, just as my son likes it.

A continuación, incorpore la carne, añadí la pimienta y el comino. Cuando la carne esté sofrita junto con los vegetales, agreguen un vasito de agua para que quede bien blandita, tal como le gusta a mi hijo.


Leave the casserole over very low heat for about 35 minutes, without covering it, only with the flame very low, so that it cooks perfectly and the meat takes all the aromas and flavors.

Dejen la cazuela a fuego muy lento durante unos 35 minutos, sin taparla, solo con la llama bien baja., con eso logro un perfecto cocinado y que a carne tome todos los aromasy sabores.


When the meat is very tender, add a glass of delicious red wine and let it cook and reduce for 15 minutes.

Cuando la carne esté bien tierna, incorpore un vaso del delicioso vino tino y lo dejé cocinar y reducir durante 15 minutos.


Finally I served it in a deep dish and sprinkled crushed oregano leaves on top, I really like its aroma and it combines perfectly with the wine. Try it, it is very simple and the wine gives a great flavor to the pork!

Finalmente lo serví en un plato hondo y espolvoree hojas de orégano trituradas por encima, me gusta mucho su aroma y combina perfectamente con el vino. ¡Proebenlo, es muy sencillo y el vino le da un sabor estupendo al cerdo!
